Matchplay^2!

24 May 2025 Past

Replay Bar, Hobart

Thanks to everyone who came out for our most recent event at Replay Bar! We debuted the Double Matchplay format for the first time, combining two scoring systems: 7/5/3/1 in qualifying to reward consistency, and 4/2/1/0 in finals to crown our champion.

A big thank you to Replay Bar for hosting us, and to all the players who brought such great energy and competition to the night. We even had to tap multiple players out mid-game under the mercy rule because they were absolutely blowing up the machines!

Congratulations to the top 4 players in each division for their outstanding play!

🥇 First place winners each received a pinball translite, generously provided by our sponsor, Stern Army—thank you for your continued support!

🥈 Second place finishers each took home a limited edition Lazaréth TAPP T-Shirt, designed by our very own member Royal. (Shirts are also available to purchase for $35—contact us if you'd like one!)

🎁 Congrats to Lee Davey, our door prize winner, who also scored a Lazaréth T-Shirt!

We also want to give a warm welcome to the newcomers who joined us for the first time—it's great to see our community growing!

We're already looking forward to the next event at a new location. Stay tuned and keep flipping!

Looking for a weekend pinball fix? Join us for Matchplay², a special Saturday event that gives players who can't always make weeknight meets a chance to jump in. We'll kick things off with classic matchplay qualifying, then split into two divisions and dive straight into new matchplay rounds for finals.

Whether you’re chasing IFPA points or just want to enjoy a relaxed afternoon of pinball, this is a great one to get involved in.
