Another great night of pinball in the books!
A huge thank you to The Winston for hosting us and to their staff for their continued support. I tried to grab some photos of the tasty food, but the plates were always devoured before I could get the camera out! Thanks for the fantastic hospitality.
A massive shout out to Tye, who went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. He had the machines playing fantastically all night, including doing some last-minute repairs and even running all over town to get things sorted. Absolute legend effort!
We had some great competition throughout the night, with plenty of tight matches and big moments. Huge shoutout to the top 4 🏆:
Rather than standard prize positions, we spun the wheel and landed on 9, 16, 18, and 20, awarding prizes to:
🎁 Brad Nichols (9th)
🎁 Kim Holland (16th)
🎁 Kaleb Southwell (18th)
🎁 Beau Burton (20th)
Each of them got to pick from a selection of AMD merch. Big thanks to AMD for their continued support and sponsorship of our events.
Special mention to Beau, who celebrated her first ever tilt during the night. As the saying goes: "If you're not tilting, you're not trying." 😄.
We also had one of the more unusual ties we've seen. Jamie and Emily ended the night tied even after applying both Median-Buchholz and Solkoff tie-breakers. With nothing separating them, they settled it the only way possible — a playoff on Godzilla for 12th place, where Emily secured the walk-off win on ball 3.
And finally, Solomon lived up to his "Ball 3 Sol" nickname, pulling off a great comeback on GoldenEye late in the night.
A quick shoutout as well to Adam, who made his return to the scene. Adam was a Top 16 player in the 2024 season but missed out on the 2025 season, so it was great to see him back competing and already heating things up again for 2026.
Thanks again to everyone who came along. Great games, great people, and another awesome night for the community.
We're heading back to The Winston in North Hobart for our next pinball meetup.
This event will use a Max Matchplay format, where players compete in continuous head-to-head matches throughout the night. Each win earns 1 point, and the player with the most points at the end of the night takes home the glory.
Whether you're a regular competitor or brand new to tournament pinball, everyone is welcome. Our events are relaxed, social, and a great way to meet other players in the community.
Come along, grab a beer, enjoy some great food, and flip some games with us. We'd love to see some new faces as well as our regular crew.
Max Winston!
This tournament is IFPA-endorsed and results are submitted for IFPA ranking points.
Casual unlimited-rounds matchplay where total matches played by all players equals the meaningful games count.
